FREQ: ATW for the full door
FREQ: ATWDATA for the monthly articles
only. You will need to FREQ ATW
if you don't have it setup!
NOTE:
~~~~~
This is a special beta version of the ATW reader door! This version
incorporates reading of back issues online and the ability of downloading
articles directly from the door.
Starting with this issue, you must be running v1.20+ of the door reader
to read articles. Please FREQ TJATW from 1:268/400 for a complete listing
of ATW files available including updated back issues that will work with
the door!
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Free monthly online magazine for any BBS that wishes to carry it!
DOWNLOADING ARTICLES:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To download articles from the door, a NODEx.CFG file must be created
for each remote node (the 'x' represents the node number). Here's an
example of the NODEx.CFG file:
The only line required is listed below. This specifies to use DSZ with a
particular base address and IRQ for that base address.
DSZ 3F8,4
Command Line:
You may use DSZ or GSZ, simply replace the item on the
command line.
2F8,3 represents the BASE and IRQ for COM2. You need to change
this depending upon your hardware configuration. You will nee
a NODE<nodenumber>.CFG file for each node.
COM1 3F8,4 ─┐ Standard
COM2 2F8,3 ─┘
COM3 3E8,<IRQ> ─┐Put correct IRQ number
COM4 2E8,<IRQ> ─┘instead of <IRQ>
You should read the DSZ/GSZ documentation and the
X00.SYS DOCs for further details. You should also have
DSZ.COM or GSZ.COM located in a directory that is in
your path. Users will be given a choice of ZMODEM,
XMODEM, or YMODEM. I wholeheartedly recommend that you
register DSZ or GSZ from Chuck Forsberg if you intend
to use it.
If you cannot find the most recent version of DSZ, please call our BBS
and check the Communications File Area for a file called DSZ*.ZIP.
If you don't want to allow downloading of articles, or have no support
on your BBS package for downloading, create a file in the ATW directory
called NODL.DAT. It doesn't matter what this file conatins, only that
it is present in the directory - this will disable downloading of
articles.
TEXT COLOR:
^^^^^^^^^^^
Simply edit the file COLOR.DAT, lines 1 and 2. Here's the file:

A sample batch file is included and is similer to the following:

TJMAG TJMAG.CFG <=- Execute the door program and pass the
configuration filename to the program.
CD\PCB <=- Go back to PCB DIR when user exits door.

This Door is multi-node compatible so you may run more than 1 node from
the same .CFG file provided the path to your system file (DORINFOx.DEF,
CALLINFO.BBS, etc) is exactly the same unless you are using environment
variables,
